Brief Overview: I am a graduate of North Arlington High School and my goal for the future is to continue my schooling and become a teacher. I was involved in numerous activities and clubs and will continue to do so when I attend Montclair State University in the Fall of 2011. I will major in Family and Child Studies in hopes of working in the education field. Once in the end of my sophmore year I will apply for the Teachers Program and then once accepted, I will continue in the education field and then work under the Early Childhood level. Education is very important to me and that is why in college my goal is to become a teacher and to work with children at the elementary or the early childhood level. Ever since I was younger, I would work with the children at my church and help them with games, activites, songs or anything else I can get involvd in. I am very passionate when it comes to kids and it is a pleasure to be able to spend time and work side by side with the. All throughout high school, the arts were a passion of mine. My musical activities ranged from being in the full chorus, the girls ensemble, elite chorus group and performing on stage in the drama club.
Not only is singing a passion but performing in the colorguard for two years has been a great pleasure along with becoming Captain of the Colorguard for the 2010-2011 season. Academically I was an active member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. I held positions in many activities and I also participated greatly in SADD and became one of the editors for the 2011 yearbook.
Awards Recieved:North Arlington High School Honor Roll from Fall of 2007 to Spring of 2011.

Animoto Video: Animoto is a video website that combines pictures and words explaining a story. It is a way to show memories of past events or use as a presentation to explain ideas. I created this animoto as a memoir of the Colorguard during the 2010-2011 marching band season. The title explains it all and this animoto means a lot to me. I also showed an extended version of this video at the Band Dinner.
What Internet Activities Reveal My Personal Information?
Glogster: Privacy on the internet is very important and a Glogster was a new and unique wasy to show informtion. It was basically an online poster and it shows a lot of information at one time on the screen.
Highschool 101
Audio Assignments: For this assignment we split into groups and created an audio interview using audacity. This was a fun activity that we were able to do and by using audacity we were able to edit and cut parts of our project before the final product was finished. The three of us with this interview were able to give informtion about highschool to any incoming freshmen.
Internet Hoaxes and Urban Legends: This was an example of a hoax through a chat room. Many people are fooled by hoaxes so you need to make sure that the information is correct before you take action.
Swish Animation: We used this program to create an animation video of the top ten of our choice. I chose the top ten disney princesses because I love disney movies.
Prezi: The Prezi was a new way to give a presentation and being that my family originated from Scotland, it was important to me to explore the country. I was able to explain and learn new information of my heritage and the country from which many of my ancestors originated from.

Voki: This was a new project that we could create a character that looked like us. We were able to record our own voices to play back or use some samples voices from the program itself.
xtimeline: This was a project where we found out information about women in history. The program used was xtimeline where the website puts events with pictures and facts in the order that you choose. I chose Eleanor Roosevelt because I wanted to learn more information about her. Also, the elementary school that I attended was named after her husband.
Texting and Bullying Movie
Windows Live Movie Maker: We used this program and created a video for a public service announcements. I wanted others to be aware that texting and bullying is dangerous and that it can harm many people if they get involved.
Toon Doo: This was an assignment that we did and created a little cartoon that explained a message. I based mine off a famous quote that is very inspirational; "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the stars!"
